40 But Martha was distracted with much preparation, so she approached and[a] said, “Lord, is it not a concern to you that my sister has left me alone to make preparations? Then tell her that she should help me!” 41 But the Lord answered and[b] said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things! 42 But few things are necessary, or only one thing,[c] for Mary has chosen the better part, which will not be taken away from her.”
